Basmati rice pilaf is a mildly spiced rice dish cooked with whole spices, delivering a rich aroma and elegant presentation—perfect for special meals.
Ingredients
1 cup 1718 Basmati Rice
2 cups water or vegetable stock
1 tablespoon oil or butter
1 bay leaf
2 cloves
1 small cinnamon stick
½ teaspoon salt
How it is made
1. Rinse and soak the rice for 20–30 minutes, then drain.
2. Heat oil or butter in a pot. Add bay leaf, cloves, and cinnamon.
3. Add rice and stir gently for 1 minute.
4. Add water or stock and salt.
5. Cover and cook on low heat for 12–15 minutes.
6. Switch off heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
7. Fluff and serve.
