A simple and flavorful vegetable rice dish made with aromatic Basmati rice and fresh vegetables. Ideal for daily meals and light lunches.
Ingredients
1 cup 1509 Basmati Rice
2 cups water
1 cup mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, peas)
1 tablespoon oil or butter
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
How it is made
1. Rinse and soak the rice for 20 minutes, then drain.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
3. Add vegetables and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
4. Add rice, water, and salt. Mix gently.
5. Cover and cook on low heat for 12–15 minutes.
6. Turn off heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
7. Fluff and serve warm.
